Special—Offer played an integral role supporting Performa 19 — the eighth edition of the Performa Biennial. We created a visual identity, a website, newspaper, and all printed materials to celebrate the extraordinary vitality, inventiveness and significance of New York as a leading global performance capital of the world.

Performa is the leading arts organization dedicated to new visual art performance. Special—Offer has worked with Performa across three different projects, allowing each to exist within the same visual ecosystem, while also maintaining their own individual indentities.

With Performa's Radical Broadcast, the organization is inspired by Nam June Paik’s legendary experiments with satellite television broadcast in the early 80s — such as the iconic work Good Morning, Mr Orwell, 1984, which linked Paris, New York, Seoul and Germany in a live television show featuring artists including Merce Cunningham, Laurie Anderson, The Thompson Twins and Allen Ginsberg — Radical Broadcast is Performa’s own broadcast channel, created to engage audiences in performance, regardless of time zone or geographic location.
The history of technological revolution of the last century is also a history of artist’s experimentation; artists are often the earliest adaptors, using the latest advancements in image making and distribution in groundbreaking, surprising, and eclectic ways. Radical Broadcast will showcase the past and present, by presenting newly commissioned work, live streamed performances, projects from the Performa archives, and curated screening programs of both historical and new work.

Programs are scheduled to screen at the same time each day in every time zone: if advertised to screen at 7pm, this means it will be at 7pm in your location, whether you are based in New Orleans, Berlin, or Shanghai.
